About Bumble & Iris
I'm Emma, the studio florist at Bumble and Iris, and I'm thrilled to share our commitment to sustainability
and the beauty of seasonal flowers. Here, we believe in creating stunning arrangements that not only captivate the eye
but also nurture the earth.
With a deep-rooted passion for sustainability, I meticulously select locally grown, British flowers
to complement my own blooms, each nurtured from seed with boundless love.
By dancing in harmony with the natural rhythm of the seasons, I craft truly individual arrangements
that are as eco-conscious as they are beautiful.
It's about honoring nature's cycle while celebrating its ever-changing beauty.

Nestled amidst the inspiring landscapes of Devon's countryside, our studio floristry business
calls the town of Bovey Tracey home.
At Bumble and Iris Flowers, sustainability isn't just a buzzword; it's a way of life.
I'm passionate about the power of local sourcing and sustainable practices, and it's reflected in every bloom I work with.
Proudly, a significant portion of the flowers I use are grown within a mere 20 miles of my home.
Not only does this support other small businesses, but it also plays a crucial role in reducing the carbon footprint
of my business and the floral industry as a whole.

I'm dedicated to providing my clients with stunning flowers that not only bring joy but also have a positive impact on the environment. Here are just a few examples of the sustainable practices woven into the fabric of my business:

-
Growing my own flowers: I employ the least invasive methods possible, including no-till practices and making my own compost. Plus, I steer clear of pesticides to ensure that my blooms are as natural as can be.
-
Water conservation: I collect and utilize rainwater, and I even repurpose water from buckets to water my plants.
-
Local sourcing: I prioritize locally grown flowers to supplement my own blooms or source from other reputable British wholesalers.
-
Eco-friendly packaging: Whether it's compostable materials or reusable packaging, I strive to minimize waste with every arrangement.
-
Closing the loop: Flower waste doesn't go to waste! I add it to my compost pile, which then nourishes next year's blooms.
-
Educating and empowering: I'm passionate about educating my customers on the beauty of seasonal flowers and the importance of natural arrangement practices.
Together, let's bloom sustainably and beautifully.
